Long/Short Equity Strategy
Trade with a Long-Short Equity Fund
Preserve a capital of long-short equity fund while achieving solid returns over a business cycle. Our goal is to take advantage of the market’s short-term thinking to optimize long-term results for our investors by seeking to generate returns that are uncorrelated with the broad equity markets (i.e., S&P 500, NASDAQ COMPOSITE).
Our risk-averse investment strategy is predicated on the belief that superior long-term results are best achieved by compounding relatively consistent gains and avoiding major losses. We believe that the lack of quality research in the small- and mid-cap space, coupled with the rapid growth of passive management strategies, creates opportunities for price inefficiencies in the broader markets that are worth exploiting.

Targeted Markets
Since 2000, we have implemented a long and short small- to mid-cap strategy focused on the technology, media, and telecommunications sectors. We target under-followed, misunderstood companies with asymmetric upside potential. These businesses tend to be out-of-favor and are believed to be mispriced relative to their book value, private market value, cash flow, P/E to growth ratio, historic P/E multiple, or industry comparables.
